The Hebron Yeshiva was known as the "mother of yeshivas" and was devoted to high level study of the Talmud.
The Yeshiva was located in the Lithuanian town of Slabodka, where it functioned from the late 19th century until it moved to Hebron in 1924.
Following the Hebron Progrom in 1929, during which many of its students and rabbis were murdered, the Yeshiva relocated to Jerusalem, where it remains today.
