In 1963, Rabbi Max and Blanche Kahn decided to open HASC to serve families with special-needs children. The program has been characterized by professionalism, with a focus on the individual needs of each child.
HASC teaches respect and sensitivity to the religious and cultural diversity of the children it serves. This diversity exists not only within the student body and their families, but within HASC's staff as well.
